this is my music blog because i also sing songs.
my bandcamp Ask me anything
yeah i’m doing this a lot.
this one’s well metal and sounds a fuck ton better than the other two.
this is vicar’s rule of three, originally on summer holiday.
Autumn Leaves is finished.
please take a listen. you can download it for free as well as my other e.ps from my bandcamp.
i wrote the record between october 2011 and february this year but most of the songs were written in november, early december.
it’s about my parents, my ex-girlfriend and god. well, it’s about me really - every song i write is - but you catch my drift.
hope you all likes it.
more garageband boredom. i swear these things make themselves. this one took a half hour. i’m bad at harmonies.
i’m doing these demos because once i’ve finished my seasonally named e.p project i’m going to do a full band (real band, without the help of the steve jobs drum sample library) version of a selection of songs from those four e.ps to make a full album. it’ll either be power-punk, like this is, or down the pedro the lion route; maybe even the billy bragg (talking to the taxman/workers playtime era) route for the folkpunk songs.
anyway this is a demo for mathew, the original version is on easter break.
garageband bordem. full band demo of i never which is originally on summer holiday.
me and dan recorded the new record on monday. i was going to take a picture when we were doing it but i just didn’t. i was completely hungover from bank holiday antics and part of me hopes you can hear it in my voice so every time i hear it, it will remind me that i’m an idiot who drinks to much.
anyway, the only picture i took that day was this picture i took to show dan what microphones i had at my house incase we needed them. we didn’t need them. rock n roll can’t always be exciting.
my next record is out in a week. catch up and download the last two for free here http://bobbyjones.bandcamp.com/
this is the forth and final video i recorded with dan and dickie.
it’s about a lovely girl i went out with for over two years and, i guess, why i felt i couldn’t be her boyfriend anymore. i think when a lot of shit happens to one person, if they’re part of a partnership, it means it’s really happening to the both of them. these terrible things can bring you together or push you apart; or just fuck you up. shit can change people. life’s hard. she’s a super girl though and i’ll love her until the day i die.
it’ll be on my third e.p, autumn leaves.
so far in my life, i have been involved in the building of two igloos.
the first was in december 2010 in the park by uni with these fine people

the way we did it was by making building blocks using a recycling box.

it was a fun day.

i remember going back the next day and being pretty sad it wasn’t there no more.

anyway. so a year and three months later, enough snow had fallen to construct another igloo. this time i built it with just my cousin mark on a sunday afternoon, using the same recycling box-block method. check it.

four days later, this one is still standing strong. my brother even tested how strong it was by sitting his friend’s son, max, on it.

how many igloos have you built?
Whitney Houston’s isolated vocal track on “How Will I Know.”
this is a pretty rad tribute.
